Easy to Make Red, White, and Blue Brownie Cups
First, you’ll want to start by making the brownie cups. There are two ways to go about this. You can use a bake a bowl pan or a muffin pan.
I made the larger brownie cups with the bake a bowl pan and for the smaller ones I used mini muffin cups. I scooped out a little brownie out of the center of the mini brownies for the whipped cream to fit in.
If you have a bake a bowl pan it works great but if you don’t have a bake a bowl pan use a muffin pan and scoop the center of the brownie out with a melon baller.
To make these yummy red, white, and blue brownie cups you’ll want to start with your favorite brownie recipe.
I used my brownie bite recipe that we love, but leave out chips as it may make it hard to scoop out the center of the muffins. Bake as normal and let cool.
Be sure to spray your muffin pan or the bake a bowl pan. I was kicking myself as I tried to get my brownie bowls out of the pan.
As you may have noticed there are only 3 brownie bowls in the photos instead of 6. Yes, only 3 made it out of the pan the other three stuck terribly.
I knew I was forgetting something and that something was spraying the bake a bowl pan with non-stick spray.
Be sure if you’ll be using the bake a bowl pan to spray it with non-stick spray so you don’t end up with the same problem as I did.
Once the brownies are baked and cooled, if you made muffins, scoop out the center with a melon baller. If you used the bake a bowl pan you don’t need to do anything extra.
Right before serving, fill the brownie opening with whipped cream. Top the whipped topping with raspberries and blueberries or blackberries.
I used raspberries and blackberries on ours since my kids can’t eat blueberries. It’s terrible they are allergic to such a yummy berry. And your dessert is ready to serve.
These brownie cups turn out looking so festive. They are a perfect blend of yummy fruit flavor, with the cool creaminess of the whipped cream and delicious chocolate brownie base to hold it all.
These are really easy to make but sure to impress your friends and family because they look so darn pretty and taste delicious.
To make them extra special add a mint leaf next to the berries. Mint always seems to elevate a dessert to the next level.
