Super Saving Saturday

I did not do too much shopping this week at all. In fact I only went to one grocery store this week. I did stop to get a price list from our local meat market. The price of ground beef has increased so much in our area, I wanted to compare prices with the meat market. Now the meat market prices are very close to the grocery stores in my area so I will likely start buying meat packs from the meat market.

Here is what I got at Safeway

4 Ken’s Dressing $.99
Used (2) $1/2 coupon
Used (2) double $1 off
Paid $.96 for all 4

Used $2 off $10 Lucerne coupon on these items

1 18ct eggs $2.29
3 Lucerne cheese sticks $.99

1 dozen Lucerne eggs Free from Personalized coupon loaded on my card

Bananas $.64/lb $.61

Sunday Newspaper $2

Total spent for this weeks shopping $12.12

So how did you do grocery shopping this week?

  1. Actually I did very well. Three quarts of strawberries for 99c ea, 4 green peppers for 99c, 20 lbs of flour for $7.99, two dozen large eggs for 99c ea. I am so happy I found those deals, they are getting harder to find.

    1. Wow, you got some really good deals. Great Job! I love it when I can get what my family needs at a great price.

  2. Thanks, I am hoping it sort of makes up for my pound cake (new recipe) that was a total complete failure and had to be thrown out. AAAARGH! Now I have an oven that has pound cake batter all over it. Sigh. After last night of making two batches of freezer jam, homemade granola, I am pooped. Now for the oven.

    1. That’s just awful. I hope the oven clean up goes quick and easy for you.

  3. What a good price on salad dressing! And how lucky to get free eggs! I love getting stuff for free at the grocery store 🙂

    1. We were almost out of salad dressing so it was so nice to get it at such a good price.
