21 Days to a Simple Christmas Challenge, Day 18

Today’s challenge was to read chapter 11 of Celebrating and Savoring a Simple Christmas and do something special for your spouse.

It’s easy to run out of time with all the extra things there’s to do around Christmas time. But it’s really important to take some time and do something nice for your spouse.

So I was trying to think of something special I could do for my honey. He really likes to have a special breakfast each weekend morning, something different from the usual fare, of the busy weekday mornings. I remembered a recipe I had found and made a while back for baked maple bars.

He really liked those maple bars. Because of their milk allergy, my husband and the kids can’t eat doughnuts unless I make them dairy free. So, today I whipped up a batch of the baked maple bars so we can include them in our breakfast tomorrow morning.

Don’t they look yummy?!

What’s something special you have done for your spouse recently?
