Another Comfort Foods Meal Plan

It’s been cold here with winds and cooler weather. All this cold weather has us craving comfort foods.

Menu plan with recipe links

On this week’s meal plan, we have one of our favorite comfort foods, beef stew. This beef stew is easy to make in the slow cooker. The flavor builds as it cooks to a perfect yummy comfort food dish. I’m pairing a batch of homemade biscuits and a salad to make a complete meal.

We will be eating ham and chicken from the freezer this week. I try to keep rotating through our freezer meals regularly. The ham is leftover from our Christmas dinner and the chicken I prepared for the freezer the last time I found a great deal on chicken which was a couple of weeks ago.

Our last two meals are super simple and inexpensive to make. We love breakfast for dinner and this week it’s fluffy and light vegan pancakes. I like to make sure we eat fish every once in a while and tuna and salmon patties are our favorite way to enjoy fish.

I found a great deal on canned salmon a while back so we have a good supply on hand to make salmon patties for a while.

What’s cooking at your house this week?

Here’s what’s on our Comfort Foods Meal Plan,

Dinners

A warm hearty dish of stew hits the spot on a cool winter or spring day. This recipe is so delicious and easy to make because it’s made in the slow cooker. Also, you might be surprised at just how inexpensive it is to make. I know when I read the cost breakdown of this recipe I was surprised it was so inexpensive.

  1. It’s so nice to have some warm comfort food for dinner in the winter, isn’t it? Today I have to go to a middle school orientation for our oldest child, which is right at dinner time (of course!), so I’m making a cajun cream chicken in my slow cooker that my husband and kids can just help themselves to. It’s so easy to make and tastes really good.

    Have a great week!
