Menu Plan Monday, August 9th

Summer is really flying by isn’t it? I can’t believe we are almost halfway through August already. I do look forward to a little cooler weather though. I’m ready to get back to baking regularly and soup is starting to sound good again. 🙂

But all of that is going to have to wait a while I’m afraid. It’s going to be another hot week at our house. So I won’t be using the oven.

Menu plan with recipe links

This week’s menu is mainly skillet dishes. They’re fast and easy to make too. The hamburger skillet dish is one of my family’s favorite. And at under $1 a serving, it’s an inexpensive meal.

I’ll be making chicken fajitas this week too but instead of baking them in the oven, I’ll be grilling them. Here’ the rest of meal plan for this week…

Dinners

Hamburger Noodle Skillet Dinner, this is a simple comfort food that can be made in 20 minutes in a skillet. If you love easy to make recipes that don’t break the bank give this hamburger skillet recipe a try. At less than $1 a serving, it’s hard to beat.

Breakfasts

I don’t think you can ever have too many breakfast recipes. This chocolate chip scone recipe is one of our favorites. These chocolate chip sones have no heavy cream, in fact they are dairy free scones. Another plus is you can make them in the skillet, so you don’t have to heat up the house on warmer days to bake them.

Toast with Scrambled Eggs

Dairy Free Chocolate Chip Scones, Sausage and Eggs

Pancakes, Homemade Pancake Syrup, Eggs and Sausage
