Menu Plan Monday, August 22nd

This week instead of planning a big salad for dinner, we are having stir fry. I like to make stir fry every once in a while to use up any veggies that are hanging out in my crisper drawer before they go bad.

If I check my crisper drawer and I’ve found good deals on vegetables that would work well in a stir fry then I add it to our menu plan.

We will be having a breakfast for dinner, this week it’s waffles. I recently found a great deal on a waffle iron. It’s a newer model than my old one that is 30 years old or so.

Best of all it was on sale on Amazon and I got it for under $35.

I didn’t really need a new one right now, since my old one is working fine, but the cord is getting a little worn, my husband is going to try to fix it.

We wanted to make sure to have a new one before he takes it apart to replace the cord. Just in case it can’t be fixed.

Ok enough babbling about waffle irons and onto this week’s menu.

  1. Ooh, those pancakes sure do look good! And what a great find in the waffle maker! Those old ones are so great because they are so sturdy…my dad has my grandmother’s old waffle iron and when I visited him last, I used it to make us all waffles for Christmas morning breakfast…it was fun to use it 🙂

Hope you have a great week!

    1. I don’t know what I would do without our waffle iron we love waffles so much.

  2. Oh! All of these sound good! We love breakfast for dinner at our house that just might be what we do tonight too! 🙂

    1. We had the waffles last night for dinner, it was so nice to get dinner done so quickly. Plus everyone eats it up.
