Menu Plan Monday, June 20th

This week is another week for simple and easy to make meals at our house.

Summer is a time for relaxing and having fun at least as much as you can. Why complicate dinnertime with complex meals? Stick with simple easy ones instead.

In the summer, I get a little lazy about cooking. But we still eat at home because I make simple and easy meals everyone loves.

We stick with easy skillet meals, slow cooker dishes, and barbecued dinners they don’t heat up the house and are easy to make too.

This week we’ll be having sloppy joes which is one of my son’s favorite meals.

I’ll also make lasagna in the slow cooker. Even though this summer so far has been cooler, I still plan hot weather meals just in case.

Instead of grilling pizza this week, we’ll be making skillet pizza pockets. They are pizza pockets I cook in the electric skillet.

Its works great and is a different way to enjoy pizza in the without heating up the house.

We’ve eaten at home for the last two and half years but Subway sandwiches sounded good this week. So we’ll be making them at home.

Here’s a peek at what’s cooking at our house this week.

  1. Yum, I haven’t made your slow cooker enchiladas in a while…they were so good, I need to put them on my menu again!

We are having burgers cooked on the grill tonight, since it will be a good way to keep the kitchen nice and cool.
