Oven Free Menu Plan

The hot weather is sure to arrive soon and this is the time of year I start planning oven free meals. Because who wants to run the oven on a hot day.

Menu plan with recipe links

Even though we’ve been having cloudy/rainy weather off and on, we had a few 80+ degree days recently. So the hot weather is sure to come back and stay soon. And maybe where you live it’s already arrived.

And if it’s hot where you live, then this oven free meal plan will be a real help to you. And even if it isn’t warm yet, oven free meals are quick and easy to make for a busy day.

Back in November 2019, we decided to avoid eating out for 12 weeks, that has now extended into May 2023. We haven’t eaten out in over 42 months now and at the end of this month it will be 43 months.

I thought for sure it was going to be tough, but with meal planning and keeping the house stocked well with easy to make meals, it’s been fairly easy to do.

And having a few easy meals to make each week has made eating at home all the time so much easier.

On occasion I’ve made more elaborate meals, but when you are looking to cooking each meal at home for an extended period, having easy to make meals is a must.

If you need a few oven free meals be sure to print the linked recipes. I make many of them often during the hot weather months.

Here’s what’s on our Menu Plan this week,

Dinners

Looking for a new way to enjoy teriyaki chicken? This grilled pineapple teriyaki chicken sandwich recipe makes a great lunch or dinner, right off the grill. Perfect for those hot summer days when it’s too hot to cook indoors.

This is the best and easiest homemade pasta sauce I’ve ever made. It’s so simple but tastes so delicious too. It only takes about 20 minutes to make too. Great for a quick and easy dinner any night of the week. If you can open a few cans and slice garlic you can make this delicious sauce in just minutes for a quick and easy dinner. Add in cooked ground beef or cooked sausage to beef it up.

Breakfasts

I love how easy these cinnamon twist scones are to make. They are as easy to mix up as biscuits, but turn out looking so fancy. Great for breakfast or brunch when company is coming over. They are also a frugal breakfast recipe costing only $.10 each. My family gobbles these up every time I made them.

  1. We are finally supposed to have some warmer weather this week after so many cold, rainy days, so I’m doing a couple skillet meals and a big entree salad for dinner.

Your grilled teriyaki sandwich looks so good! I think it’s something that my family would love to have sometime this summer 🙂
