10 Goals for this Week

Boy this week went by so fast. I can’t believe it is already time to make a new set of goals. I was only able to get half of my goals done this week. But at least I was able to get half of them done. My personal goals really fell by the wayside this week. I will have to add them again to next week. Here is hoping I will do a little better next week.

What I was able to get accomplished this week,

Family

1. Try a new recipe
2. Brainstorm family goals for next year
3. Have kids help make dinner one night this week
4. Continue Bible reading each morning at breakfast

Personal

5. Call or e-mail a friend
6. Drink 8 glasses of water
7. Start working on diet changes
8. Exercise 10 minutes a day

Blog

9. Continue 31 of Homemaking posts.
10. Plan out goals for this blog.

  1. Hi Shelly!

Good job on your goals last week! I admire the way you have been doing the Bible readings with your children at breakfast.

I need to start drinking more water, too. My Mr. Coffee Keurig machine got recalled, so I’ve been without it for about a week now. :/ I am waiting for a replacement to come in the mail, but being without my coffee 2x per day made me realize how little water I drink. I’ve never been a great water drinker, but I know I need to do a better job of being intentional about my water intake.

Love that you are trying new recipes and having the kids help in the kitchen. The last few new recipes we’ve tried with our family have turned out well, and I’m always thankful for that! My kids love helping in the kitchen, too, but when more than one child wants to help at a time…it can get a little crazy.

I hope you have a great week, Shelly!

    1. Sandra, I don’t drink coffee and I stopped buying soda pop about a year ago except on very special occasions. So the only stuff we have to drink around the house is water, tea, milk and soy milk. I do purchase Tang for my husband as he really likes it. I only can tolerate tea with sugar in it so I try not to drink it much. But even with that I still find I have to consciously work at getting my 8 glasses a day in. It is easy to get busy and forget.

  2. I am impressed that you are already focusing on next year. Sometimes I think that I need to start looking a little father than just next week. Great goals!

    1. Thanks Lydia, I am trying to get the planning started early this year as I find I do better with my long term goals when I have a chance to really think about them. Hopefully I will make good progress this week on my longer term goals.
