5 Goals for June

We are approaching half way through the year and the weather is getting nicer. I’ve finished one goal last month. I’ll be finishing the second goal this month and I need to make a plan for our summer. I need to finish up my son’s homeschool for this year and get his final testing scheduled.

How I did on my May goals and what my goal plan is for June. What's your goals for this month?

I’d also like to make a plan for a few fun things to do this summer with the kids. I know if we plan for them we can fit them all in. I talked about making the most of your summer in the last Frugal Family Home podcast you can listen to it here.

The Goal Plan for June

This month I’ll be working on 5 main areas. Homeschooling, Weight Loss, Blog Growth, Family Time, and Organizing my Time. I’ve updated the progress I made on each goal as well as my plans for this month too. I would love to have you share in the comments below what your goals are for this month.

Homeschooling Goal

We will be finishing up our homeschool for this school year, this week. I need to schedule my son’s testing to be done and finish up the last few lessons. Over the summer we will spend a little time each weekday practicing reading and doing math lessons too. Otherwise, we will have the summer off.

Family Time Goal

I want to make a plan for our summer. When we have a plan we can fit in the fun summer things that are most important to all of us. We’ll be making our summer bucket list and hopefully marking a few things off too.

Weight Loss

I met my goal for last month, getting exercise in each week. It was harder since I injured my heel. It is taking forever to heal up. But I’m sticking with exercising 10 minutes 3 times a week. Plus I’m limiting my eating after dinner 4 times a week. I haven’t weighed myself at all but I’ve been eating less at meals since I’ve totally cut out seconds.

Blog Growth

I was able to set up my pinning schedule and I think it will work for now. I’ll be monitoring it each week to see how things go but I think it is set up fairly well. I’m also working through a pinning course this month doing one unit a week.

I’ll be working on reorganizing this website to make it easier to navigate. It’s going to take me a while but my goal is to work at least 1 hour a week on this project this month.

Organizing my Time

I finished my calendar class. I’ve been using an online calendar system for this past month and I’m adjusting to it but it’s still a slow road to change for me. But I’m thrilled to have accomplished this goal. I won’t be adding a new goal in its place until after summer.

Those are my 5 main goals for this month. Most of these goals will go for 6-12 months, the organizing my time goal is now finished.

I’ve been keeping on track with my goals using the steps I learned in the Make Over Your Year course. (affiliate link) It has really helped me to break down my goals into steps for each week and each month to reach my goals. So far it’s been going really well this year.

If you need to set goals of your own I would definitely recommend Crystal’s Make Over Your Year course. (affiliate link) You don’t have to wait for the new year to start to make over your year, you can start today!

  1. Way to go on your goals! You sure do seem to accomplish a whole lot, even by just working on something one hour a week…it really works!

I’m so sorry to hear that you injured your heel…I hope it isn’t too bad and that it heals quickly.

  2. You’ve made great progress on your goals, Shelly. 🙂 I think it’s wise that your family is making plans for what you all want to experience and get done as a family this summer. We have a few events coming up this week that we’re looking forward to.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful week!
