5 Goals for November

Inside: What I accomplished on my October goals and my goal plan for November.

Halloween is over and we are embarking on the holidays. I’ve already started shopping and hope to finish early this month. Then early next month I can start on my holiday baking.

My updated October goals and what I'll be working on this month too.

The Goal Plan for November

This month I’ll be working on 5 main areas. Home Projects, Healthy Habits, Blog Growth, Family Time, and Using my Online Calendar. I’ve updated the progress I made on each goal as well as my plans for this month too. I would love to have you share in the comments below what your goals are for this month.

Home Projects

We had to give up on finishing the painting. We were able to get all of the house done except the very top of the second floor. Instead of rushing to get it done. We decided to wait until we had a stretch of dry weather, which might not be until next year but that’s alright.

My big project for this month will be to keep up wit the falling leaves in our yard. We have three huge trees in our yard. One Maple and Two Oaks. I think they are about 70 feet tall, which means lots of leaves to pick up this month and next. I usually dedicate a couple hours twice a week to be able to keep our leaves picked up.

Family Time

This past month the kids and my husband spent time watching the Star Wars series. We purchased all the movies and they made their way through them which they so enjoyed. We found that there is a local company that make light sabers. They are really cool. I’m thinking a trip to that store is in our future.

Healthy Habits

This past month I continued exercising regularly with the kids getting 15 minutes in 4 days a week. I’ve been continuing to limit my eating and I’m eating less. Which I’m happy about. Plus I’ve been getting extra excise in by picking up leaves at least twice a week.

This month I’ll continue exercising with the kids 4 days a week and keep working on cutting back on my eating with smaller meals and less or smaller snacks.

Blog Growth

This past month was a great month. Thanks to all of you for visiting and telling friends about Frugal Family Home, we hit an all time high for the traffic to the site. I’m hoping to increase that a little more this month and then bump it up a little more next month too.

I’ll also be finishing up the course I’ve been taking and hopefully making a few changes to the site.

Organizing my Time

I’m continuing to use my online calendar. It’s an adjustment for me but I’m trying. I need a better way than the email I get in the morning to work off of. This month I started regularly making a to-do list which seemed to help.

I started using a little binder to write down what tasks I needed to get done each day and having that to refer to really helped. I think the online calendar is great but I still need a paper list to refer to as the day goes on.

How I did on my goals for October and my new goals for November too.

Those are my 5 main goals for this month. I’ve been keeping on track with my goals using the steps I learned in the Make Over Your Year Course (affiliate link) It has really helped me to break down my goals into steps for each week and each month to reach my goals. So far it’s been going really well this year.

If you need to set goals of your own I would definitely recommend Crystal’s Make Over Your Year course. You don’t have to wait for the new year to start to make over your year, you can start today!

What goals are you working on for this month? I would love to have you share them in the comments below.

  1. Congratulations on your traffic growth! It’s no surprise…you have so much great content!

We spent last weekend working on leaves too. We bagged up 8 bags’ worth of leaves in the front yard alone…next weekend we’ll work on the backyard. The trees in the back are just about done dropping their leaves, but our maple in the front yard drops its leaves later than the other trees. so we’ll have lots more to pick up in the front over the next few weeks.
