Goals for the Week of August 30th

My goals for this week and how last week went too.

How did this past week go for you? I was able to get all of my goals crossed off except one. I just didn’t find the time to get to working on my rug. I was really hoping to, but I just didn’t get to it.

The smoke from the wildfires that was so bad last weekend was gone this week. Which I was so thankful for. I was having a hard time breathing outside in all that smoke. I really feel for those firefighters on the front lines of the fires.

We were able to get one last swim in this past week. But I think it going to be too cold to swim this week. We need to gear up to start homeschooling. I need to finalize the kids schedules and finish getting ready this week. We start next week so it will be nice to get into more of a routine.

The kids helped me can the peaches. We also made a batch of peach jam and dried the rest of the peaches. If you haven’t have dried peaches they are such a great snack. I just slice them and dry them in my dehydrator. They are almost like candy. I’m so glad to have one more item marked off my food preserving list.

  1. I’m so glad that the smoke has cleared away…does that mean that all the fires are out? I hope so 🙂

The dried peaches sound really tasty! I made a trail mix last week that we had at vacation bible school this summer…it was so good that I had to make some at home. It has dried pineapple, bananas and cranberries in it, although the pineapple is sweetened, so I’m not sure how healthy that is.

Hope you have a great week!

  2. It’s good to hear that the smoke isn’t a problem anymore. I hope that means the fires are out.

    Dried peaches sound delicious. 🙂

I hope you have a great week, Shelly!
