Goals for the Week of September 14th

Today is a hard day for me. You see this is my mom’s birthday. But she isn’t here with me, she has been gone for 25 years now. I think it’s hard this year because I am right now, the age she was when she died. I now realize just how young she really was when she was called home.

She had health troubles, diabetes and high blood pressure. She never put herself first, but always put other first. In the end I think this really contributed to her death.

For all you homemakers out there, take the time to take care of yourself and to be healthy. You will not only bless yourself, but it will be a blessing to your family too.

As far as my goals, I was able to get to most of them. But I didn’t get to work on my ebook. It may just have to wait for a bit, but I will keep adding it into my goals each week, to remind me to keep working on it. 🙂

Here’s the things I was able to accomplished this past week,

Family

Continue Art Class together

Can and dry peaches ( I dried peaches but I decided to make peach jam instead of canning the peaches)

Personal

Drink 6 glasses of water a day

Exercise 5 times this week

Get to bed by 10:30 each night

Blogging

Write 3 blog posts

Write one chapter for a new ebook

  1. I’m sorry that you’re missing your mother, Shelly. I can’t imagine how difficult it’s been not to have her here. I do love reading about the memories your share about her, though.

Great job on your goals last week. I, too, would like to write another ebook but keep putting it off.

    1. Thanks Sandra! I know finding the time to do something extra can be so hard. But I know if I keep adding it to my list I will find time one of these weeks to get a chapter or two written. 🙂

    1. Thanks Shay, that’s really sweet of you. 🙂

The kids and myself are doing the How Great Thou Art drawing class. So far we love it. I purchased the video lessons too and so far it has been really fun for my high schooler, my grade schooler and myself.
