Radishes, How to Prepare What you Grow

If you have radishes coming in from the garden but you are tired of eating them in salads or snacking on them, I have a few recipes for you.

These recipes below all use radishes in them in a unique way. So you can enjoy your bumper crop of radishes in a new way.

How to prepare radishes from the garden

Soon we’ll be harvesting radishes from our garden.

If your kids would like to grow vegetables radishes can be very rewarding for them. They grow fairly easily. They can be planted in a medium-sized pot. They grow rather fast also. So the kids don’t have to wait so long to get results from their labor.

Here are our radishes we harvested last year. I grow two kinds of radishes french breakfast and sparkler radishes. The french breakfast radishes are the longer ones and the sparklers are the globe type radishes.

Both are really easy to grow and delicious too.

A few radishes we harvested from the garden.

Most of the time we just eat these on salads. The ones we grow have more flavor than the ones from the store. So they are so much better. But homegrown vegetables tend to be a lot better in flavor than store bought one.

Now you may be wondering what else can you make with this vegetable, other than eat them in salads? Here are a few recipes to give a try. I am looking forward to trying some new recipes this year with our radishes.

  1. I haven’t eaten radishes in a long time…never really cared for them that much, but now that I’m older I’ll have to try them again 🙂 Maybe we’ll try growing our own in a pot on the deck and see what happens!
