The Tuesday Garden Party for this Week,

I hope the weather has been good gardening weather where you live. I know a couple weeks ago we had quite the spike of hot weather and my peas didn’t like it at all.

Our poor peas that are dying off and the kale growing strong.

The sugar snap bush peas didn’t make it and I had to pull them up. The pole peas are still holding on but a few are dying off here and there, so I’m sure it won’t be long before I have to take them out too. But we did get a good harvest this year, so I can’t really complain.

The kale is looking so good, even with the warmer weather. I need to harvest some to add to our salads this week.

Our raspberry harvest and the strawberry ice cream I made.

I’ve been picking raspberries each day. We only have a small run of raspberries, but they are producing so nicely this year. I’ve made one batch of strawberry freezer jam and one batch of raspberry freezer jam too.

The kids also helped me make a batch of dairy free strawberry ice cream with the last bit of strawberries from our strawberry patch. It turned out so good. I love ice cream with fresh berries in it.

Now that I’ve got you thinking about a nice big bowl of ice cream, lets get back to gardening with this week’s features!

    1. How exciting you’re getting berries, I know I love it when we have berries in the garden to grab and eat. One of the many benefits of growing your own food. I hope you share a few of your berry recipes with us.
