Wondering If the Ultimate DIY Bundle is for You?

Yummy Chocolate Covered Cherry Cookies, great for gifts.

I know when I’m thinking about making a purchase, I will often wonder if the item I’m buying is worth the price. I wonder if it’s something I will use and wonder if I will really like it.

Just in case that is where you are right now in considering purchasing the Ultimate DIY Bundle, I wanted to share about a couple of items that are included in the bundle.

Just so you know, I was given review copies of the items I’m reviewing for free. But the opinions expressed are all my own. Also some of the links in this post are my referral links. Which means when you purchase something through them I may make a little money at no extra cost to you. Just wanted to let you know.

One of the ebooks in the Ultimate DIY bundle is Gift It From Scratch by Kathie Lapcevic. This book is one after my own heart. I often make items to give as gifts and each of the recipes in this book are perfect for gift giving. Hence the title, Gift It from Scratch.

Gift It From Scratch Ebook

There are lots of recipes in this ebook, including breads, quick and yeast, comfort foods like soups and main dishes, cookies, cakes, and even snacks and beverages.

Well, I didn’t want to do a review without at least trying one of the recipes. As I was reading through the recipes the Chocolate Covered Cherry Cookies caught my eye. I really love chocolate covered cherries and I thought all those flavors in a cookie, now this one I had to try.

Yummy Chocolate Covered Cherry Cookies, great for gifts.

The recipe was easy to follow and used all natural ingredients. Although, I needed to substitute our dairy free margarine for the butter, but other than that I followed the recipe just as written.

The cookies turned out beautifully. They had a wonderful cherry chocolate flavor. The outside had a slight crunch and the inside was nice and tender. Just the perfect cookie. These would also be great for packing up in a care package or shipping to someone for a birthday or any other occasion. I can’t wait to try a few more of the recipes in this ebook.

Photo Editing for Absolute Beginners

The second item I received to review was an eCourse from Digital Scrapbooking HQ on Photo Editing for Absolute Beginners by Melissa Shanhun.

I love to take photos and I’ve been working on improving my skills, so anything new I can learn about photography, I’m all for. I like that this course doesn’t assume you know anything. Maybe that why it’s called photo editing for absolute beginners.

Melissa has a video for each lesson, which are easy to follow. She goes slow so you can see what she is doing and what changes the action makes on the photo. I like that she goes slowly enough you can see what she is doing. I’ve watched other eCourses where the instructors go so fast it’s hard to follow them. That is not the case with Melissa.

There is a nice interface once you log in and with each video lesson you can access the screen shots with written instruction too. Just in case watching a video just isn’t your optimal way of learning.

Melissa show you the basic features of Photoshop elements and then goes into editing, cropping and how to print your photos at home. Along with adding text to photos too. Each of the videos take less than 10 minutes to watch, making it easy to watch a video and then give the new skill you learned a try, right away.

If you use Elements or having been considering purchasing it, this eCourse will help you get started on editing your photos in very little time.

UpCraftClub Bonus Item

The last item I received to review was one of the wonderful bonuses included when you order the Ultimate DIY bundle. This bonus item from UpCraftClub and it included a video and a cute apron pattern.

I have to say, I love the apron pattern. It had so many different ways to customize it. Making each apron just perfect for whomever you are making it for. The pattern has nice clear photos for the steps and was written very well. I think even if you haven’t sewn much before, you could make this apron following the instructions. It’s a great beginner sewing pattern.

Also included was a workout video for crafters. It has exercises to fight bad posture fatigue, you can get after a long day of crafting. This bonus is definitely a great one for any DIYer or crafter.

As you can see the products in this bundle vary and there is something for everyone. With 76 items in the bundle you could learn a new skill or do a new craft, every week for over a year. If you want to see more of the great items in the Ultimate DIY Bundle click here to learn more.
