Peanut Butter and Jelly Cookies, these easy and simple peanut butter and jelly cookies make a great dessert or gift. The would make a great addition to a Christmas cookie plate. They are soft baked and a little chewy, just perfect for a peanut butter cookie. When I make these they disappear quickly.

Peanut Butter and Jelly Cookies

Don't just make plain peanut butter cookies, make them with jam too. They are so good.

  • 1/2 cup Butter or Margarine I use dairy-free margarine
  • 1/2 cup Peanut Butter or any nut butter you like
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 1/4 cups Flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 2-3 tablespoons Jelly or Jam


  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  • To a medium sized bowl add the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Using a whisk mix well. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, add the butter, peanut butter, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, and egg. With a mixer mix until well combined.
  • Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and mix until well combined.
  • Roll dough into balls or drop by the teaspoonful onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Make a slight depression in each of the cookie balls.
  • Add about 1/4 a teaspoon of jam into each depression in the cookie dough.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for about 7-9 minutes, or until cookies are set and the bottoms are lightly browned.
  • Cool on baking sheet for several minutes then remove to a wire rack to finish cooling.
