Instructions
Place the water in the liner's bottom of the instant pot.
Add the trivet or rack to the instant pot.
Place 1-2 pounds of ground beef on the trivet.
Secure the instant pot lid, secure to sealing.
Pick pressure cook, high setting, and natural release. Set timer to 20 minutes for 1 pound of ground meat and 25 minutes for 2 pounds of ground meat.
Press start.
Once the cooking cycle is done, let the pressure naturally release for 5 minutes.
Then carefully do a quick release to release the rest of the pressure.
Remove lid away from you to prevent steam from burning your face.
Check with a meat thermometer to make sure the ground meat is fully cooked.
With pot holders, lift the rack with the cooked ground beef carefully out of the instant pot to a cutting board.
Remove rack and set aside.
Cut or break up the cooked ground beef into recipe sized pieces.
It’s ready to use in your recipe.
