Goals for this Week, July 13th

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen that we started on our bathroom remodel this week. We have been working on the vanity. The old lovely peach countertop and sink are removed. I was able to get the doors, drawers and vanity sanded this past week too.

This week I’m hoping to get the vanity painted and have the new granite countertop installed. We decided to have the company making the countertop install it, since it ended up costing quite a bit with all the cutting they had to do to make it fit our vanity. After all that work and cost we didn’t want it to break on us when it was being installed.

As far as my other goals, I was able to get some reading done this week and I kept up with my exercising too. I didn’t have any trouble getting enough water in with the warm weather we are having, which should just get warmer as the week goes on. I’m so glad we have air conditioning. 🙂

Here’s the things I was able to accomplished this past week,

Family

Sand the vanity in the bathroom

Tear out the tile in the tub/shower area (we decided to wait on this item until the vanity is done)

Personal

Read a chapter of the book, Platform

Drink 6 glasses of water a day

Exercise 5 times this week

Get to bed by 10:30 each night

Blogging

Write 3 blog posts

Work on more back office tasks (I made a little progress again this week but I still have more to do)

  1. You did a great job on your goals last week, Shelly. I’m impressed with how you regularly drink enough water. 🙂 I struggle in this area, and I just can’t seem to get on track with it. I’m still going to work on drinking more though!

I hope you have a great week and the bathroom remodel goes a little smoother from here on out.

    1. Thanks Sandra! It’s been hot here so that makes it so much easier for me to remember to drink my water. Hopefully I will have this habit fully established by the time the weather turns cooler. 🙂

I made some progress on the painting today. All the woodwork I’m painting has at least none coat of primer. I’m hoping to finish priming today, then paint tomorrow or Friday.
