21 Days to a Simple Christmas Challenge, Days 19 and 20

I hope your weekend is going well. Can you believe this is the last weekend before Christmas? I hope you are all ready for the big day.

This weekend’s challenge was to finish reading Celebrating and Savoring a Simple Christmas and to bless someone in a large or small way. Crystal also suggested to take some time on Sunday to relax.

This weekend I delivered the plates of goodies to our neighbors. I hope by sharing our home-baked goodies it will bless them and let them know they are important to us. Having such great neighbors has been a wonderful blessing to us.

Then today, I took some time to just sit and read. It had been a busy weekend with family visiting and the kids’ excitement over the visit and presents. It was nice take 15 minutes to sit and read. The cat came and settled into my lap and enjoyed the quiet time with me. It was really nice.

Have you taken the time to do something to bless someone else recently? It doesn’t take much to be a blessing. A phone call or a note maybe just what someone needs today. Even a smile can brighten someone’s day.
