21 Days to a Simple Christmas, Day 17
How did your day go today? I hope it was a good one. I finished up all of my baking and candy making. Other than some sore feet from standing, everything went really well. I’m so glad to be done for this year. Now we are ready to bless our neighbors with some yummy goodies.
I was glad to see today’s challenge, since my house really needed it. Today’s challenge was to read chapter 10 of Celebrating and Savoring a Simple Christmas and to clean the house. After all the baking our house needed a little help.
Although the house wasn’t too bad, I did vacuum the main floor yesterday. Our kitchen has now been vacuumed three times in the last two days. Letting my 7-year-old handle the sprinkles without the shaker lids had a little to do with the floors needing to be vacuumed again. 🙂
Today with the help of my kids we were able to whip the house into shape. Here’s what we accomplished,
2 loads of laundry, folded and put away
All the floors vacuumed
Kitchen cleaned
Both bathrooms cleaned
All the rooms picked up and clutter free
We had just dusted two days ago so we didn’t have to do that task again. We were able to finish in just about an hour and the house looks great.
I’m so glad to have the house clean since we have family coming tomorrow for an early Christmas celebration. Which reminds me I need to finish the last half of the Christmas present I’m making. 🙂
