Cheap Eats: Beef and Noodles
Here is another one of my cheap eats. This is one recipe we use occasionally but it is really a good one.
Beef and Noodles
Ingredients
1 1/2 lb London Broil $3.00 ($1.99/lb)
1 can Cream Of Mushroom soup $1.00 (I make my own to make it dairy free)
1 can Mushrooms $.50
1 teaspoon Parsley $.08
1 lb Egg Noodles $.50-$1(with coupons)
Salad with Veggies on top $1.00 ( I get my lettuce $.50 a head and then add veggies I have)
Dressing $1(sometimes I get this for free)
Put London Broil in crock pot. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Drain mushrooms and put on top of meat. Place mushroom soup in a bowl with a 1/3 cup water and stir. Pour over meat and mushrooms. Cook on low about 8 hours or until meat is done.
About 30 minutes before the beef is done. Boil some water and cook egg noodles as directed on package.
Once Beef is done shred beef with two forks. Put Egg noodles on platter. Put the Beef mixture on top. Sprinkle with parsley if desired. Serve with a salad and maybe some fruit.
This meal cost about $6.58-$7.08 and feeds about 6 people for $1.10-$1.18 a serving.
