Goals for This Week, November 9th

This week was a yummy week for us at our house. I made a few baked items with the pumpkin puree I made. The house smelled so good. I made roasted pumpkin seeds, pumpkin bread and pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. We ate a lot of pumpkin at our house this past week.

I was hoping to get to plan my christmas candy and cookies but I didn’t get to it. I did make my menu plan for the rest of this year though, I can’t believe we are so close to 2015 starting. I’m hoping to plan my cookie baking and candy making this week, so I can start watching for sale on baking supplies.

I received my Zaycon chicken this week and processed it yesterday. My friend split the 40 pound box of chicken breasts with me. We should be stocked up on chicken for quite some time. I made up quite a few chicken meal starts and cooked some chicken on the grill, to use in a few casserole and quiche recipes. It’s so nice to have the freezer stocked with quick dinner ideas this time of year.

I wasn’t able to get to my ebook writing, but I did keep up with my posts. How did you do on your goals?

    1. I could do without more leaves. I’ve been picking up leaves twice a week and filling our 90 gallon yard debris bucket. We are supposed to get some good wind this week. It should help to strip the leaves out of the trees. 🙂

  1. You did great with your goals, Shelly! I need to start planning our Thanksgiving menu soon. We just placed an order for our turkey yesterday. 🙂

I’m sure your kids are going to be excited about the cookies and candies you’re planning!
