4 Weeks to a More Organized Home…Simplified {Day 18}

This series is getting close to wrapping up, just a few more days now. I have seen a big improvement in my home over the last few weeks and I have been so thankful that the assignments have been simplified from the original series.

For today’s assignment from Crystal, first item was to get dressed in something you love. I got dressed in a favorite pair of jeans and a long-sleeved shirt today.

My second item was to make my to do list. I was able to get everything done on my to do list yesterday which I was really happy about. On today’s list, plan which cookies to make for the Christmas plates, do my cleaning, plan a craft for myself and the kids, write my cleaning post.

Third on my list was to clean and vacuum the closets. I picked to photograph our entry closet since it was the worst out of all of them. Ever since the first 4 weeks series I have been meaning to get some sort of organizing system for our shoes.

As you can see in the before picture our shoes end up in one big pile and then we can’t find our shoes very easily. We have to dig through the big pile of shoes and it always happens the one you are looking for is at the bottom.

Now that is so much better, all the shoes are arranged in pairs now if I could only find a system to hold them neatly together.

Last item for today was to vacuum the main living areas of the home. So I worked on the living room, stairs and family room. I can’t believe how much pet hair can build up just over one week.

How did your cleaning go today?
