4 Weeks to a More Organized Home, Crumb in the Silverware Drawer
Cleaning, it’s an ongoing task for all of us. If you haven’t started the challenge yet, just jump right in. If you want to follow along be sure to grab Crystal’s free ebook.
Today, I did the complete list of the challenge. I’m not sure if I will be able to do all the tasks each day of the challenge, but my goal is to get at least the shortened version done each day.
Here’s the tasks for today,
- Get dressed.
- Make a to do list of 5-7 items to accomplish today.
- Complete your Morning Routine
- Set a timer for 15 minutes and do a quick pick up
- Clean the silverware drawer
The first three are things I do each day already, so those tasks were easy for me to get done. Here’s how the rest of my tasks went along with the photos,
Silverware Drawer
I don’t know about you, but every time I clean out my silverware drawer, I find crumbs. It always amazes me how crumbs get into a closed drawer and in with the clean silverware.
I took the whole drawer out to make it easier to organize. While the drawer was out my son had to investigate as to what was in the hole that was left in the cupboard. I’m surprised he didn’t get out his flashlight to have a better look.
I didn’t find much to remove so it’s still a little full. At least each items has it own place again.
Quick Clean of the Main Living Areas
After the weekend we always have a few things laying around. I like to take the weekends off from cleaning and so things can get a little out of hand. This week it wasn’t too bad.
After picking up just a few things the room looks oh so much better. It’s amazing at what a few minutes can do to improve the appearance of a room.
Purge Items
I wasn’t able to find 7 times to get rid of today. I found a few extra basting brushes to give away, along with these other times.
Another cleaning day done and we are a few items lighter.
Tuesday, I’ll be doing a 15 minute vacuuming and cleaning the oven and microwave.
Did you find crumbs in your silverware drawer too?
