4 Weeks to a More Organized Home, Drawers and Doorknobs
For today’s spring cleaning I’m worked on cleaning a few dresser drawers and wiped down the doorknobs. If you haven’t started the challenge yet, now would be a great time to join the challenge. If you want to follow along be sure to grab Crystal’s free ebook.
Today, I did the complete list of the challenge. I’m not sure if I will be able to do all the tasks each day of the challenge, but my goal is to get at least the shortened version done each day.
Here’s the tasks for today,
- Get dressed.
- Make a to do list of 5-7 items to accomplish today.
- Complete your Morning Routine
- Set a Timer for 15 minutes and clean a dresser drawer.
- Wipe down the door handles
- Purge 7 items
The first three are things I do each day already, so those tasks were easy for me to get done. Here’s how the rest of my tasks when along with the photos,
Dresser Organizing
Since, I already organized my husband’s dresser drawers and my own drawers, we worked on one of my daughter’s drawers for today. This drawer was packed full of clothes and I had a hard time taking it out of the dresser. Does any of your drawers get like this too?
After getting the stuff drawer onto the floor, my daughter found a few items she no longer wanted and removed them. Then we put all the rest back in nice and neat. The drawer fit in just perfect once we had gone through the items.
The items removed ended up in our purge pile for today and will be going to a new home soon.
Door Handle Wipe Down
I usually try to wipe down the door handles at least once a month to keep them nice and clean. My son and daughter helped me with this task. So each of us took a floor of the house to work on and we were done in no time.
Purged Items
My daughter found 10 items to get rid of today out of her dresser drawer. I will be adding these to our donation box so this weekend we can give them away
Thursday, I’ll be doing a quick clean in the bathroom and wiping down light switch plates.
