4. Get everyone on board with the budget, so you are not the no person to everything when the kids or your spouse asks. Make sure they are involved in the budgeting process too, so they are investing in reaching the financial goals too.
5. Re-evaluate when it become hard to stick to your budget and back off on your debt pay down or your savings for a month or two to make a little wiggle room.
