12 Months to a Healthier You Challenge, Week 11 Update
I’m following along with theĀ 12 Months to a Healthier You Challenge at Money Saving Mom. I started the challenge in January to help keep me motivated to lose weight and help me establish some good healthy habits too.
How the Challenge Works
Each month of the challenge will have an area to focus on, to help improve your health and mine. The focus for this month is to drink more water.
By focusing on one area each month, it should give us time to really get it set as a habit. So it won’t end up being something we just do for one month. I’m hoping I will be able to continue the improvements for a long time.
March’s Focus Area
This month’s focus is on drinking more water. I have been trying to increase my water intake a little each month since January. I’m was up to 5 glasses a day at the end of February, so for March my goal will be 6 glasses of water a day.
I thought about trying to bump the goal up more, but I know it’s hard for me to sometimes fit in 5 glasses. So, I thought I would just increase on more glass a day, to play it safe. š
My Progress for this week
This week I was able to get my 6 glasses of water in each day. I tried really hard to drink two glasses in the morning, then two more around noon and finally two more at dinner time to before bed. It worked out really well. Now all I need to do is keep it up.
I was able to get 5 days of exercising in this week too. But my fruit and vegetable intake was low. I missed one day since we ended up having breakfast for dinner. I ate enough of Ā the fruit in but missed the vegetables that day. I need to start adding peppers or something to our scrambled eggs.
How did you do? Did you meet your goal for your water intake?
