12 Months to a Healthier You, Week 33

A healthier You for 2014

I’m following along with the 12 Months to a Healthier You Challenge at Money Saving Mom. I started the challenge in January to help keep me motivated to lose weight and help me establish some good healthy habits too.

How the Challenge Works

Each month of the challenge will have an area to focus on, to help improve your health and mine. This month’s focus will be on getting to bed early.

Rest is so important to stay healthy. For this month I’ll be trying to go to bed a little earlier so I can be sure to get enough sleep each night.

My Goal for August’s Focus Area

This month the focus will be on getting to bed early. I’ve been fairly consistent on getting to bed at a reasonable time each night. So, my goal for this month is to be in bed by 10:30 each night. And when I mean be in bed, that means in bed with all of my electronic devices turned off.

It easy to crawl into bed and then start watching a video or catching up on Facebook or email. Does anyone else do this? But for the month of August I will be trying to be in bed with all electronics off by 10:30. I think that is a fairly reasonable time. Don’t you?

My Progress for this week

I did really well with getting to bed on time. I would have had a perfect week, had I not turned my tablet back on last night. Yes, I had it turned off and then I turned it back on. Before I knew it, it was pushing 11:00. So, almost a perfect week of getting to bed on time.

I did well on my exercising, drinking water, getting my fruits and vegetables in and even limiting my sweets. Maybe this week will be my week for a perfect week at getting to bed on time. 🙂

How did you do at getting to bed on time this week?
