12 Months to a Healthier You Challenge, Week 34
I’m following along with the 12 Months to a Healthier You Challenge at Money Saving Mom. I started the challenge in January to help keep me motivated to lose weight and help me establish some good healthy habits too.
How the Challenge Works
Each month of the challenge will have an area to focus on, to help improve your health and mine. This month’s focus will be on getting to bed early.
Rest is so important to stay healthy. For this month I’ll be trying to go to bed a little earlier so I can be sure to get enough sleep each night.
My Goal for August’s Focus Area
This month the focus will be on getting to bed early. I’ve been fairly consistent on getting to bed at a reasonable time each night. So, my goal for this month is to be in bed by 10:30 each night. And when I mean be in bed, that means in bed with all of my electronic devices turned off.
It easy to crawl into bed and then start watching a video or catching up on Facebook or email. Does anyone else do this? But for the month of August I will be trying to be in bed with all electronics off by 10:30. I think that is a fairly reasonable time. Don’t you?
My Progress for this week
Getting to bed on time wasn’t my thing this week. I would love to tell you I did great this week, but I did really, really, bad at getting to bed on time. I stayed up way to late two nights this week and then two more nights, I was close to my goal but still, I didn’t hit my goal. So over half the week, I stayed up too late. I’m hoping for a better week this week.
I did eat a little too much candy this week. But I did get my fruits and vegetables in this week. I was able to drink extra water and get my exercising in. So, all in all, not too bad of a week.
Were you a night owl this week too?

I was definitely a night owl last week, but I’m making progress on getting up early. Here’s to a better week for the both of us! 🙂
Thanks Sandra!
