Real Food Recipes For Weight Loss Book Review and Giveaway
I discovered Jami’s blog, An Oregon Cottage a few years ago. She has great information on gardening, do it yourself projects, recipes, and much more. She also has a new ebook out, her first one and I was so happy to receive a copy to review. She has given me one to give away too. How cool is that?!
Jami’s ebook is,
Yummy Real Food Recipes
Doesn’t that dish on the front of the book look so delicious? Well the rest of them look just as good. She has included an assortment of recipe, made with real foods to help you slim down.
You might remember back in January, when I made my goals for this year, I had a goal of losing 20 pounds. Well, my goal is still pounds away from being realized, but I’m working on it. In my quest to slim down this ebook was a real encouragement.
Not Just a Cookbook
This is not just a cookbook, Jami shares her own struggles with her weight. I could so relate to what she was saying about just eating too much. That is my biggest obstacle, not what I eat, but the amount I eat. Don’t skip the first part of the book, that’s where you will learn how Jami changed her eating habits and lost the extra weight. I love that she shares how she did lost the weight by eating real foods.
The Recipes
In Real Food Recipes for Weight Loss, you will find great recipes. She has included chicken, pork, beef, seafood and even some crock pot recipes. They are all made from scratch recipes with real food. Yummy food that I’m sure your family will love.
The recipes have easy to follow directions and the ingredients are all items you can find at the local grocery store. Which is important, when you don’t have a lot of extra time on your hands to hunt down special ingredients. I can’t wait to try the Quick Mini Meatloaves with Chipotle-Honey BBQ Sauce. Or that delicious dish on the cover Thai Grilled Beef Salad.
You don’t have to eat boring food while slimming down. Jami’s book gives you a great assortment of recipes that I’m sure your family will love.

Shelly, I found it very difficult trying to enter the giveaway for Jami’s ebook via Rafflecopter. NoScript and Request Policy addons on my browser protecting me had to be disabled. And in going back to Frugal Family Home to copy name of ebook in the giveaway for my tweet, I got a clickjacking alert (the first I’ve ever gotten). You may not want to post this, but I thought I should let you know of the trouble. God bless.
Thanks for letting me know. What browser were you using when you had the trouble?
Firefox 29.0.1.
Always love Jami’s ideas! Would be nice to see more of her story.
Jami has so many great ideas! I love reading her blog.
Eat lots of delicious vegetables! The best way we have found to keep ourselves accountable to doing that is to invest in a CSA from a local farm. We have become much more creative in our cooking because we never know what we are going to get week to week and we eat tons of vegetables so we don’t waste our hard earned money. Plus everything is so delicious fresh and straight from the farm.
Lynn, great advice! I’ve thought about investing in a CSA too. We grow some of our own produce in our backyard garden so I haven’t taken the leap yet.
