3 Weeks to a Cleaner Home Day 4, Hallways and Stairs

Today I cleaned an area that many may not think about cleaning. I worked on my stairs and hallways in our home. There wasn’t anything to de-clutter but there was definitely some cleaning that needed to be done.

Before

The stairs had hair from the dogs and cat. It seems that the animals are shedding and their hair ends up on the stairs in little piles. Even though I usually vacuum every week it still seems to build up. Look at all that hair. Yuck!

I cleaned the handrails going upstairs and downstairs. These seem to get dirty from all the hands touching the rails. I  cleaned the baseboards in the hallways and on the stairs. I  cleaned off  the fingerprints or smudges on the walls going up and downstairs and in the hallways. My little one likes to run his hands along the walls as he goes by so we end up with little hand smudges. I also dusted the pictures that hang  in our hallway.

After

Now the walls and stairs are fresh and clean. I am hoping they will stay that way for a while.

Tomorrow

I will be working in my Laundry Room. I usually just dust and vacuum as needed. I will be doing some de-cluttering and cleaning. Here what I will be working on.

My list to do in the laundry room

  1. De-clutter the laundry cupboards
  2. Clean the mini blinds on the door
  3. Clean the window in the door
  4. Vacuum the floor
  5. Wipe down the washer and dryer
  6. Clean the sink
  7. Organize the laundry supplies

If you would like to share the cleaning you were able to do today please leave us a comment. If you have a cleaning post on your blog go ahead and leave a link in the comments so I can see the progress at your house too.

  1. Everything looks so nice and clean at your place! We also have the same problems with little fingerprints on the walls and the pet hair accumulating in the stairs, even though I vacuum it weekly. It seems like a never-ending problem 😉

    1. The pet hair is truly a never-ending problem. It is good the pets are so lovable.
