3 Weeks to a Cleaner Home Day 5, Laundry Room

I usually just need to dust and vacuum my laundry room. Today I wanted to de-clutter some in this room. I had quite a bit of laundry supplies and they were not easy to get to or sorted very well. I also needed to clean the mini blinds on the door along with the door windows.

The cupboards were so full they wouldn’t close all the way.

I emptied out the towels, hand towels and wash cloths and then refolded them to help them fit better. I also removed all my laundry items and then with the help of a few boxes I had kept I was able to organize the rest of the items so I can get to them more easily.

The mini blinds were quite dirty so I removed them and took them outside to clean them. While the blinds were drying I cleaned the windows on the door. There sure was lots of lint on the blinds and the door from the dryer. I cleaned my wash tub sink along with dusting the washer and dryer. Then I mopped up the floor and replaced everything. I am hoping to get a new shelf installed for my detergent and fabric softener over the washer but for now I will just keep them on the washer back.

Well that is one week down and two more to go. How is your house coming along? Are rooms looking much cleaner at your house?

Monday I will be working on cleaning the refrigerator.

This upcoming week I will be spending the first three days on the kitchen. I will start with the area that is not my favorite to do the refrigerator. I already organized my freezer but I need to clean the refrigerator out so that what I will be doing on Monday. I will also vacuum and mop the kitchen floor.

My List to Do

  1. Remove all items from refrigerator
  2. Clean the refrigerator, organize the items
  3. Vacuum and mop the kitchen floor

  1. Your laundry room looks fantastic! I cleaned mine out a while ago, but I couldn’t bear to throw out the baby laundry soap that I bought about 3 years ago. It doesn’t work as well on stains, but it’s still useable.
