3 Weeks to a Cleaner Home Day 6, Kitchen Refrigerator
This week for the first three days I will be working on my kitchen. One area that really needed to be done was my refrigerator. I did not do this assignment when I did the 4 Weeks to a More Organized Home Series. I also organized the items in the fridge so that they are easier to find. So everything has its place. After cleaning the refrigerator I needed to vacuum and mop the floor. So that is what I did today.

The refrigerator was not as bad as I thought it might be. I usually will clean up any spills right away so there wasn’t too much to clean on the shelves. My crisper drawers I try to go through and use up anything that is getting past it’s prime each week so I was fortunate not to find any moldly items in the drawers. The door shelves were a little sticky some of our sauces had leaked a little but now they are all nice and clean.
The only items I could not get very organized were my garden seeds. I keep them in the refrigerator to help keep them from year to year but the zipper baggies are not working too well to keep them organized. I will have to look into a new system for storing my seeds. But at least the refrigerator is really nice, clean and organized.
Tomorrow
My plan for tomorrow is to go through my pantry cupboards and get them more organized. There is not too much cleaning to be done but I would like to re-organize those cupboards.
My To Do List
- Clear out the two pantry cupboard
- Wipe out the cupboards
- Organize the items as I replace them

First, your son looks just adorable. I did some basic cleaning today….dishes and cleaned the dining room table and chairs.
Great job on your refrigerator. I think that is one appliance in the house that is easy to neglect, but I’ve been trying to wipe it down when I remember to. 🙂
The refrigerator is not my favorite thing to clean but I needed to get it done. I found by wiping down my refrigerator when I saw a spill or a smudge did keep it really clean. I had less work to do than in the past.
My son wanted to be in the picture, he is a little ham.
